MIRA LOMA, Calif. (May XX, 2015) —PCS Professional Cabinet Solutions (PCS) is proud to announce that their line* of European-inspired, frameless cabinetry has passed the stringent Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association (KCMA) certification process. The company’s frameless kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanity cabinets are now in conformance with American National Standard ANSI/KCMA A161.2-2012, Performance and Construction Standard for Kitchen, Vanity Cabinets and comply with the provision of paragraph 611-1.1, HUD Minimum Property Standards – Housing 4910.1 (9/8/86).
Referenced by U.S. government agencies, architects, builders, remodelers, and other specifiers, the KCMA has administered nationally-recognized performance standards for cabinets since 1955. An advocate for the industry, their certification program assures the specifier or user of kitchen cabinets and bath vanities that the cabinet bearing the blue and white seal complies with the rigorous standards set by ANSI and sponsored by the KCMA. Once certified, manufacturers are independently tested twice annually to maintain certification credentials.
“Being KCMA certified guarantees that our frameless cabinets meet or exceed the demanding performance standards set by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI),” said Kelly Kemmis, marketing manager, PCS Professional Cabinet Solutions. “The assurance this provides to our customers is monumental as we continue to produce and delivery top quality cabinetry.”
The KCMA certification program tests the reliability of the cabinetry by performing a series of tests, such as:
- Five structural tests measuring the cabinet’s structural integrity
- Two drawer tests measuring mechanisms and capabilities
- Two door operation tests measuring durability
- Four finish tests measuring usage
